Stones and Strings
The basketry here began with a thought about combining stones I have collected with linen in an unusual way. The work evolved as I added other materials. I wondered if I could weave around a cairn. “Celebration” was the first – a stationary structure. I wondered then about a structure that might move – perhaps hanging from an interesting branch. Then I wondered what else I could add . . .
